Dreams are the fire that warm the soul.
Everyone at school thinks that Evie broke her ribs in a car crash… Evie doesn’t talk about why she was adopted and why she really needed an operation.
Because some things should never be said.
Now, she is safe and even has a souvenir from hospital – a piece of rib bone, which she carves into a dragon. And it comes to life at night in Dragon-dreams, helping Evie to heal, giving her strength.
But some things cannot be fixed. Some things are too terrible to be forgiven. Sometimes, revenge must be take and it seems the dragon is the one to take it, while Evie looks on.

Transforming the bone into a miniature dragon is a fantastic idea. Aside from the intimate connection with Evie, a miniature dragon can have so many different characters, i.e., puff the magic dragon or the dragon in Beowulf. Can’t wait to find out what happens.
This sounds like a really interesting story.
Hope you enjoy it if you decide to read the book. 🙂 New blurb coming soon (plus a post on the various versions), but it’s already up on the still-being-built Amazon entry if you’re curious: http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Bone-Dragon-Alexia-Casale/dp/0571295614 … Hopefully extracts to follow here and via the ‘look inside’ Amazon feature, but do ask if there’s something you’d like to know!
Thanks for the information. I’ll be following. 🙂
Thank you! 🙂 Really enjoying your Dragon stories and pictures, by the way. I’d love to hear your expert thoughts on the final dragon graphic when it arrives.
This sounds interesting. What genres will it be listed under?
It’s a psychological thriller with shades of magical realism. But mostly it’s a psychological thriller. If you ever get a chance to read it, would love to know what you think! Thanks for following. 🙂
